The UAE is a very popular destination for tourism and trade. This is due to its beautiful desert landscapes and luxurious hotels that provide excitement and comfort to both residents and visitors.

Rental Costs

There are a number of different rental car companies in the UAE that offer affordable rates on cars for rent. These range from SUVs, convertibles and passenger vans to luxury vehicles like Mercedes Benzes.

When renting a vehicle, be sure to ask the company if they include insurance. Many international Car Rental services do not and you will be liable for an excess charge if damage does occur.

You should also consider how long you’ll be staying in Dubai and whether you’re planning to visit any other parts of the UAE. A good idea is to take a day trip to Abu Dhabi and its Grand Mosque or the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Al Ain Oasis.

Cheap Fuel Prices

Dubai has an excellent network of gas stations and the price per litre is very reasonable. As of late 2021, petrol costs around AED 2.70 ($0.70 US) per litre and diesel slightly more expensive at AED 2.80 ($0.79 US).

Be aware that Dubai has a lot of dust on the roads and you should wash your rental car before you leave to reduce the amount of dust that will collect.
